Kerala, one of the most scenic places in India and the abode of a mix of ancient science, culture and modern thoughts, and a unique and vibrant culture attune with nature is the chosen venue for Yoga retreat. It will be hosted in Vagamon – Kottamala, a hill station located in an Idukki district of Kerala. Still untouched by commercialization, the sleepy town is surrounded by valleys, green meadows, pine forests, mists, fogs, tea estates, waterfalls and overall greenery. The landscape is mostly hilly bald with green meadows. Vagamon is also home to a variety of flowers and orchids. Vagamon has amenities for trekking, paragliding, mountaineering, and rock climbing. It has a cool climate, with the temperature between 10 and 23 °C during a summer midday. It is situated 1,100 meters above sea level.

Vagamon is located 15 km from Kottamala ,39 km from Thodupuzha, 23 km from Erattupetta, 33 km from Palai, 45 km from Kumily, 22 km from Kuttikanam and about 65 km from Kottayam. Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport, while the closest railway station is Kottayam.

Veda yoga ashram teacher training program’s schedule is designed in very balanced way that it keeps the student in contemplation of the subject throughout the day and also allows them to have the personal time. The schedule is the best integration of theory and practice of yoga. It also allows the student to stay energetic for all the classes. The daily schedule of the course as follows:

Here the Students will learn anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga in order to strengthen their classroom explanations, cues, and corrections of asana.

Philosophy: This class will prepare students to read and understand Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Each Friday, students will lead a discussion reflecting on the week’s readings. Before class, students should write down one question on a notecard directly related to the day’s reading and give this to the teacher at the start of class.
